Table Read Club has entered the group chat; will you answer the ping?
Presented by the Emmy-nominated intersectional streaming platform, Open Television (OTV), Table Read Club: London is a traveling series designed to identify and activate the boldest scripts through an interactive table read. Listen to the stories that amplify our humanity and celebrate cultural differences come alive through a rotating cast of actors, performance artists, directors and more.
Space is precious and intentional.
RSVP is required for entry.
This one-night only showcase not only brings together writers, directors, actors and executives to read through a script out loud it also provides creators with the opportunity to receive real-time feedback from the audience through anonymous polls.
Hearing a script out loud creates a variety of opportunities to strengthen the characters relationship to one another and cultivate room for more inclusive world-building. Amplified by T A P E Collective, we invite you to the debut of Table Read Club taking place at the Menier Lounge.

T A P E COLLECTIVE
T A P E was founded in 2015 by Angela Moneke and Isra Al Kassi after meeting through the Barbican Young Programmers scheme. It launched as a response to the lack of representation on screen; wanting to platform and highlight the sheer variety of under-served films out there; ringing exciting screenings to new audiences, championing the forgotten could-be cult films of the festival circuit and programmes of women of colour - both behind and in front of the camera. Since launching in a community café six years ago, T A P E has expanded to include content writing, talks, consultation, curation, cross-arts events and an online streaming platform. Theironline cinema platform, GOOD WICKEDRY, is driven by carefully considered curation by showing one film per week.
